SEZ Near Tuticorin Port The 10th largest port in India - the Tuticorin Port with strong hinterland for the raw materials, just 82 kms to the east and is the nearest major Port close to the AMRL SEZ conferring it a superb logistical and cost advantage in accessing global international markets. The Tuticorin Port is accredited with ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001: 2004 certification and its Container Terminal are operated by the Port of Singapore Authority ensuring efficiency and quality. Singapore Port Authority maintains the hassle free Port.

It is also the only Port in Southern India offering direct weekly container services to USA, Europe, Red Sea Ports etc., with a Daily Container service to Colombo.

The Tuticorin Port has a present capacity of 20.55 million tones and is strategically located very close to the East-West International sea route @ 35 feet draught. Deepening of Harbor to 14 meters and its appropriate channel to 14.6 meters is in progress which will further add value. The Port helps the easy exports and imports, thereby encouraging foreign direct investment.
